The Wind That Shakes The Barley Review

I really like this movie because the conflict was very interesting and based on a real war that meant the Independence of Ireland. And the relationship of the two brothers was so exciting and difficult at the same time and that makes the movie something that you have to see.
My favorite character was Damien O'Donovan because he represents, to me, all the things and the changes that means to have lived a very difficult moment , the struggle, the courage and fear that makes your life never the same again.
One thing that I like of this movie was the cinematography, i found it very simple, delicated and beautiful and when I was seeing it I just thought that that way of representing the War was actually the best way to do it, at least to me, because the war is already turbid and dishonest and representing with more explotions or camera movements will be the first thoughts but the way that the cinematographer chose is to just make the movie in a very beautiful piece. And one thing that i didn't like is some scenes i found it very long or not necessary to take so much time on it but was just a few scenes.
My favorite scene when was Damien has to kill his neighbor Chris Reiley that he had known him since he was a child just because Chris had to inform the British Soldiers where Damien and his friends were hidden.
The movie have a beautiful cinematography and the locations are very lovely too
