English Language Challenges
Hi Everyone!
Today I will tell you about my experience learning English at the University. :)
Well, I actually studied only two semesters because the test that the University made us take in the begining of the career my result was English Two, so my first English Class was English 3. My experience so far has been interesting and I find enjoyable the way the teachers have planned the different courses and different ways to teach making the course entertaining. Listening to songs and interviews, seeing movies, and writing blogs.
It's not my first time that I'm studying English but it is my first time that the teachers ask me to write a blog! And I have to tell that I find very interesting the idea specially this semester than the last one because in this semester Benjy (The Teacher) prohibits the use of Google Translate something that I find AMAZING because in the last years it was very common that everybody check their vocabulary on Google Translate and even that the app can be a very useful tool the translation is not always certificated.
This is my last semester that I'm studying English at the University (I hope, haha), however I need to keep practicing my English because one of the things that is most difficult for me right now is speaking English without translating everything from Spanish to English in my head first and then talking and that is something that only I can get with practice. I really wanna have the opportunity to travel and live in some city that the English is the regular language so the language becomes more natural to me.
In the last years I've been working as a waiter in the Costanera Center and the English Classes have been very useful and helped me a lot because the Costanera Center is one of the places most visited by tourists in Santiago and just a few people of my work can speak English that means more tips for me. (Yeiih)
It was pleasure to study with you and will see you around ;)
